Hugh Patinkin Obituary

Would have loved to catch up

I haven't seen Hugh since our graduation at Lab School in '67. He was a great guy.My thoughts are with his family.

It was with shock and saddness that I learned of Hugh's death. He was one of my first first friends at the Lab School (I met him in the fall of 1961) and I'll miss him dearly. I'll remember his love of politics, family, and friends.

Dear Patinkin Family,



I am a former employee of Whitehall Co. and gave some 10 plus years of my life to it. I am shocked about his passing away; I lost my mother to Cancer in Oct. It was painful to see her pass. I know what you're going through. Hugh was such a great CEO and made us down the pole take ownership and pride in what we did for the company. Leadership is tough and sometimes nasty. Hugh handled it all well and Whitehall is certainly a legacy he has left behind. I thank Him and the company for giving me the opportunity to work for Whitehall. I have great memories serving the company.

May God comfort your family in the days to come.

Hugh and I grew up in the South Shore Highlands together and played in his back yard for endless hours at a time. I fondly remember our fun and excitement in all the games and contests we had. Hugh always made a genuine effort to include everybody in the neighborhood. It seems just like yesterday albeit 50 years ago. Everybody liked Hughie and all will sorely miss him. I will miss Hugh. I am very sorry for your loss.
