Kim,Howie,and Jane...
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing!!
I first met him in the winter of 1972 up in the Taxidermy shop on Christiana ave...
My Dad who was the Meat manager at Jewel at the time, asked him if I could visit him because I was very interested in taking up the craft...
From there we became pretty good friends...
I ended up working for him cleaning pheasants and ducks, then big game he received from hunters...started fishing with a friend of his,Rich Lee on Lake Michigan...
Introduced me to Art Mercier on WBBM Radio, from that telephone meeting the first day I met Howie,I was privileged to do almost 30 spots on Art's sportsman show...
We had a ton of laughs, lunches with him and your Mom when I got there early to help Howie...
We used to go to Salmon Unlimited meetings on Elston Ave...
In time,I opened my own Taxidermy Shop on Belmont Ave....and will be always grateful for those years Howie and I were friends doing what we loved to do...
He will be missed by his immediate family and many, many people he was able to call him their friend...
Hopefully,he is in God's Kingdom..in Heaven resting comfortably with his Wife,Lorraine and Mark , his Son...
Thank you to Kim,Howie, and Jane for sharing your Mom and Dad with me for
all those years...
I know where they are resting and will visit them when I can...
May God comfort them in Eternity and all of you...
