I just want to let you know that I am saddened by your loss. Herkey as I called him was an important figure to me in my childhood. He always called me his little monkey. He was always interesting to me and a fascination. I didn't know until I was much older all that he had done in his life.

My 89 yr old grandmother, Betty Katsaros, my 90 yr old great-aunt, Fannie Pipikios, both from Rezes/Tripoli, and I read about your brother yesterday... and were moved by his story of bravery, intelligence, honor and humility. We are sorry for your loss. But hope you find comfort in the memories of his long life, and the many lives he saved.
