Henry Snow Obituary
Snow, Henry J. passed away on November 4, 2008 at the age of 86. Happily married for 64 years to Lillian (Fiut) Snow, loving father of Laura Snow and Mark (Karyn Eklof) Snow, cherished Papa of Sara (Matt) Roblee, Paul (Amy) Gawlik, Joel (Daphne) Gawlik, Kate Gawlik, Sandy (Christopher) Matson, Christopher Snow and Rebecca Snow, beloved great-grandfather of Dimitri, Mikayla, Caden, Henry, Vivianne, Skylar, and Sam. He will also be missed by a loving brother-in-law, Edmund Jezewski (Adele Fiut), and many devoted nieces and nephews. Henry, who served in the Coast Guard during WWII, grew up in the Back of the Yards with his siblings, Evelyn (James) Kern, Mary (Walter) Kolesiak and Richard Sniegowski. On Friday, November 7, from 2 to 9 p.m., a visitation will be held at Modell Funeral Home, 5725 S. Pulaski Road, Chicago, 773-767-4730. Henry was an active parishioner of St. Turibius Church, serving as an usher and officer of Holy Name Society. He received the Pillar of the Parish Award in 2005 and Christifideles Award in 2007. We are deeply saddened to hear of Henry's passing. What wonderful memories I have from 56th place and the old "open-eye club" the times spent with Harry and Stephanie and all the wonderful neighbors that bonded together the Christmas of 1951. Our prayers and deepest sympathy to you.
