Tomich, Helen M. (nee Crowley). Born in Milwaukee, WI July 31, 1920. Wife of the late George C. for 60 years. Loving & cherished mother of Paul, M.D. (Mary Beth), Reverend Daniel (Assoc. Pastor St. Louis de Montfort Parish, Oak Lawn), Ellen (Neil) Lucas, and Eileen. Proud Grandma of Kevin Tomich (Marisa Schrieber), Kathleen, D.D.S. (Jeff) Benka, and Colleen Tomich; Capt. James (U.S. Army) (Jennifer), Sarah, Daniel, and Matthew Lucas. Dear sister of the late May, the late James (late Leda), the late John (late Madelyn), the late Catherine, and the late Margaret Seifert. Aunt to many nieces & nephews, and special aunt of James Crowley and Patricia (James) Mattiolli. Friend of Greg Bembinster (driver & coffee runner), and loving friend to all who knew her. Teacher's Aide at Gurdon S. Hubbard High School, CPS for 38 1/2 years. Visitation Friday 3 to 9 p.m., and Saturday 8 to 10 a.m. Funeral Saturday 10:15 a.m. from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home 5570 W. 95th St. Oak Lawn to St. Denis Church 8301 S. St. Louis Ave. Chicago. Mass 11am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Catholic Charities of the Arch Diocese of Chicago, 721 N. To the Tomich Family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I worked as a Teacher's Aide for "mom" Tomich all the 4 yrs. that I attended Hubbard H.S. She made an impact on my life and my future, giving me motherly advice and encouragement be do well in school and become a productive member of my community. She touched my life in ways that are too numerous to write down. I have always felt that I was special to Mrs. T as well. I remember when her son became a priest, I was always hearing about her daughters and her son, the dr., Paul. I even remember her beloved dogs name...Murphy, wasn't it!? I was Mrs. 'T's" aid in rm. 219 from 1973 until my graduation in 1976. Mom T even attended my own mother funeral in 1976. I continued to visit mom T at Hubbard until about the 1981 or 82. I am sad to say that I lost touch after that but thought of her often. I will miss her and hold the memories that I have of mom T close to my heart.

Pleaase accept my deepest sympathy in the passing of your Mom . She was a very special Lady who I remember very fondly from when we were growing up . She touched the lives of so many in both her years at Hubbard , and her many years at St. Denis . I'm sure she's resting happily once again being reunited with your Dad , and even saying hello to my Mom and Dad somewhere in heaven . Our prayers and thoughts go out to all of you . To Rev. Dan and the Tomich Family,
My mother, Mildred Kwiatkowski, who now lives in Lake Geneva, WI in an assisted living community, asked me to send her condolences. My mom worked with Helen at Hubbard High School for many years, and up to just a couple of months ago, talked to her almost daily. They were both great South-siders and loved their jobs at Hubbard. My mother talked about Helen every day since she moved to Lake Geneva in 2005. She looked forward to their phone conversations and spent many hours talking about how much fun they had in their lives. My mom was greatly saddened when I gave her the news of Helen's passing. We know Helen's time had come, but it is still a time of sadness. Please accept our deepest sympapthy and we wish the family the best.
