Helen Justis Obituary

Helen Louise Justis passed on to heaven Friday, March 15th, 2013 in Houston, TX. She had resided in Odessa, TX. from 1945 until November of 2012. She was a loving, caring mother of 4 children, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and wife of Victor H. Justis, Jr. for 62 years before his passing in January, 29, 2006. They both were very active members in the First Church of God in Odessa, TX. Their kindness and giving attitude was influential to many people. Helen Justis devoted her life to God's work and her family first, and then if any thing was left she would help other in need instead of having for herself. Her family will sorely miss her but they rejoice that she is reunited with Pop in Heaven.
Helen was preceded in death by her only daughter Vickie Justis Fields and is survived by 3 sons; Richard Lee Justis and wife Adele of Houston, Dr. Daniel H. Justis and wife Janet of Odessa, Timothy Wayne Justis and wife Kim of Granbury, and 1 granddaughter that she raised Kerri Justis Robinson and husband Kevin of Houston. Granddaughters; Jolie Justis Dunham and husband Laird of Dallas, Jessica McLeroy and husband Tyson of Stephenville, Ashley Wilkins and husband Eric of Grandbury. Grandsons; Richard Lee Justis, Jr. and wife Wendy of Austin, William H. Justis and wife Heather of Lubbock. Great grandchildren; London Dunham, Emery Dunham, Austin Callaway, Mackenzie Callaway, Brodie McLeroy, Oliva McLeroy, Moses Wilkins, Richard Lee Justis III, Isabella Justis, Kennedy Justis, Gabriel Justis, Alaina Justis, Sadie Justis.
A short celebration of Helens life will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00pm at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
