Helen Butts Obituary
Butts, Helen aka "The Scooter Lady" of Jefferson Park/Mayfair, 82, born and raised in Chicago, former resident of Phoenix, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family April 7, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Butts, cherished mother of Karen (Robert) Gienko, Linda (John) Roth-Isanovic, Richard Butts II and Jeffrey (Heather) Butts, very proud and loving "Grams" of seven granddaughters and one grandson, great-grandmother "Grammy" or "Busha" of 14, dear sister of Larry (Mary) Lapczynski and the late Ed (Eva) Lapp and Betty (the late Lou) Kowalczyk, fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Faithful companion of Lulu the cat, Sammy the Siberian Husky and the late Max, Honeypuck, Bandit, Pathes and Brandi. Celebration of life Saturday, April 16, 12 noon, at Mayfair Commons Community Room, 4444 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, www.komen.org or 972-855-1600. Arrangements by: Cremation Society of Illinois, 773-281-5058.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
