Johnson, Hazel S. (nee Grace Hazel Ingebord Smith), 91, beloved wife of the late Carl JG, loving mom to Jan (Schippits) and Gail (Marc) Goldstein, caring Mor-Mor of SSgt. Roy Goldstein USAF & Blair (Dan) Malloy, dear daughter of the late Fred J and Gunda Smith, formerly Lindstrom, dear sister of the late Roy Henry, sister-in-law of Viola Johnson, cousin of Dolores (Charles) Meek and Mildred Johnson, dear friends of Fred and the late Miriam Faia. Hazel was the Admin. Asst. to the Dean of UIC College of Dentistry. After retiring, she ran the Jesus Christ Food Pantry at Chicago Lawn United Methodist Church. Burial private. Memorial service 11 a.m., Saturday, September 15th, at Christ United Methodist Church, 920 S. Swain, Elmhurst, IL. Since Hazel spent her life in charge of doing good, memorial gifts to Advocate Hospice or your favorite charity will be an honor.

Hazel was an inspiration to all that knew her. Her legacy at Chicago Lawn Methodist Church will live forever. I am very sad I cannot attend the service to remember her.
