Mrs. Devereaux was a beautiful lady, a great 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade teacher who was never forgotten and I will always remember her fondly. Thank you for the lovely French meal at the bistro and sightseeing in downtown Chicago at the end of the year. Such a thoughtful gesture from our teacher and I felt so special that day.

I was in awe of Miss Devereux when I attended Sayre School in the sixties. To this day I still think of her, a wonderful teacher oh, and the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She was the epitome of Elegance and Grace. I used to grade papers for her during lunch time and in fifth grade she taught me all the French I know

Dear Devereaux family, I am the daughter of a very old friend of your mother, Hazel. My mother, Alice Edelstein Weinstock, worked at the Zenith plant during the war where she and Hazel became fast friends. Frankly, I think that were it not for this friendship, my mother would not have met my father! The story that I grew up with had your social mother checking out the army guys visiting the plant to familiarize themselves with the radio/signal equipment. Your mom went excitely to mine explaining that she had "found one for you, Alice, and one for me!" In fact, they each married that special guy!

My condolences to to the family of Mrs
Devereaux. She was my favorite teacher at Sayre school, and a great comfort since I lost my father while in her class. I will never forget the great person and teacher she was.

Pat, Paulette and extended families.
We are so happy and grateful to have had the opportunity of spending such happy times with Pat and Hazel over the years.
It was a privilege to know them, and while Hazel's passing is so sad, it is good to know they are now together again.
We are all thinking of you and the family at this sad time
With love,
Anne, Willie and family.
