Harvey Washington Obituary

WASHINGTON Harvey Harvey Washington, 83, passed away April 1, 2008, in Munroe Regional Hospital in Ocala, Florida. Born in Medford, WI, he was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He retired from the City of Toledo, Water Department (Public Utilities) as a General Foreman in March of 1990. He also served as a Union Steward and later a Trustee for Local 7. He participated in City League Bowling and was past president of Block Club 15. Since retirement, he and his wife, Donna enjoyed living in their second home in Dunnellon, Florida He was preceded in death by his parents; fourteen brothers and sisters; the mother of his children, Gladys Washington and two sons, Keith Allen Washington and Kenneth Rivers. He leaves to cherish his memory beloved wife of 31 years, Donna Jean Washington; three sons, Craig (Charlotte) Washington, Tony Rivers, Todd Washington; two daughters, Gina Wimberly and Jewel Washington, all of Toledo, OH; stepchildren, Michael Powell M.D. of Akron, OH, Gerald, Keith and Kenneth Powell all of Toledo and Evelyn Jackson of Chicago, IL; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
