Harry Schwarz Obituary

Schwarz, Harry Vincent 65, of 504 S. Green St. Piper City, IL, died at 3:05 p.m., Saturday, April 22 2006 following at auto accident in Kempton, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Harry was born on November 11, 1926, in Chicago to Howard and Esther (Martyler) Schwarz. His childhood was spent in the Chicago Area. Former place of residence was in Romeoville, IL. He was a dock worker for the Gateway Trucking Company. Harry married Catherine Louise Sawin on May 16, 1969. She survivies. Surviving children are two sons, Edward and (Kathleen) Schwarz of Chatsworth and Robert (Shannon) Schwarz of Joliet; four daughters, Venus and (Christopher) Vandeventer of Wakefield, Kansas, Michele (William) Mcinerney of Dwight, Kathyrn (Michael) Rovy of Oak Lawn and Vicki (Timothy) Hurley of Romeoville, IL; 17 grandchildren; two brothers, John Siercks and Richard Schwartz his best friend; three sisters, Ruth Ann Schwarz, Martha Baloun and Jeanie Dietz. Pre-decedents, parents; mother-in-law, Noreen Sawin; one brother, Howard Jr. Schwarz; one grandson, Arthur Porn; and one fond aunt, Idabelle. Harry was a member of the Lutheran Faith. Active in the Democratic Party of Will and Ford Counties. Was a councilman. He enjoyed fishing, reading and cooking. Arrangements by the Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home in Piper City. 815-265-7636.
