Nakis, Harry WWII Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Toula (nee Sofiakis), devoted father of Kathy (the late Andrew) Tsagaris and Alfred, loving grandfather of Mary, Adam, Chris and Alex, dearest brother of Sam (Eileen), Paul, Mary (Andrew) Ramos, the late Angie (the late Tony), the late Gus (Eileen), the late George (Angie), the late James (Babe) and the late Nick (Rose), dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Nakis was an employee of the Chicago Daily News and the Chicago Sun-Times until his retirement in 1987. Member of Evzones American Legion Post #1039. Visitation Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m., at Salerno's Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., Chicago. Family and friends are requested to meet Friday morning at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 6041 W. Diversey for 11 a.m. service. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements by: Nicholas M. Pishos Funeral Director, Ltd., 773-745-1333.

Dear Kathy, Mary, Al, Adam, Chris and Alex as well as all of Harry's extended family. Our hearts are broken at the loss of your father, grandfather and brother and uncle. I will truly miss his phone calls and his good heart and soul. We tried, not enough time, we are the losers he is well and happy once more. Please accept our most heartfelt condolences.
