Hey Papa,

We all got together yesterday on the one year, it was tough, but we remember alot of awesome memories of you. You were one of a kind, and we all miss you like crazy, but i wanted to tell you a story, the other day me and dana went to Starved Rock and i saw a "wigwam' and it reminded me of your joke you always told me about a wigwam and a teepee .. It made me think of your wicked sense of humor.. Anyway, i miss you like crazy this has been a really tough week, but i know you got our backs... take it easy popeye..

I LOVE YOU,
Ryan

Dad, a year ago today we last spoke, you told me "No more". I knew at that point, the end was near. For a man as strong as you to say that, there was nothing we could do.I wish there was something i could have done, but i know it wasnt meant to be.I will never forget that day, or any other for that matter. I know you know how much you meant to me, my best friend, my best man! there isnt a day that i dont shed a tear, thank you for everything you gave me. I miss you, I loveyou. Bubba

Hi again Papa,
Its such a nice day out, it reminds me of the days i used to come over and mow your lawn, sweat up a storm for you but when i came in youd always be like grab a soda or cold water. Or even the days it would be soo sunny out and id see that gold intrepid with the flag flapping in the wind. Thanx for being my second #1 dad.
I Love You Buddy

Dear Maureen, Reenie & Tom, Dan & Cathy, Tom & Lori, Jim & Jennifer and Michael & Amy and all of your children,

When we were growing up and in later years, Bud was always more like a big brother than a cousin. Mom and Dad loved him dearly as did we. He leaves such a rich legacy of kindness and caring that is so deeply embedded in your family and in each of you. We know how much you will love him and will miss him forever. Please count on us for continued support as you move through the difficult days ahead.
We love you all.

When one thinks about Uncle Bud... the first thought is that infamous McSweeney line "he's at the firehouse!" That 'reason' for not making any given family function will forever be etched in the family's vocabulary; and each time it is used..whether you are the family judge, teacher, student, or retiree...it will bring a smile. That thought is immediately followed by memories of that smirk, that special grin, the belly laugh and always a good joke or story. Uncle Bud was a very special man and along with you, Aunt Maureen, raised very special children. The legacy lives on....

Dear Aunt Maureen and Family,
Uncle Bud was very special to me. A great friend and the best fishing pal I could have ever shared a boat, or a beer with. Bud was truely a gentle soul.
My prayers are with you all, as always, each day.
