Hynds, Harry J. 74, of Glenview, Evanston P.D., retired, Veteran U.S. Army, beloved husband of 32 years to Kathryn (nee Flavin), Evanston P.D., retired. former husband and friend of the late Lynn Spain, loving father of Michael (Deborah) Hynds, proud grandfather of Jessica, Caleb, and Breanna, dear brother of Richard (Dolores), Douglas (the late Sharon), and the late Thomas (Kay) Hynds, son-in-law of the late Dolores and Thomas Flavin (Capt., Chicago P.D., retired), dear brother-in-law of Philip Flavin, Gerald, C.P.D., retired (Sandra), Patrick, Mount Prospect F.D., and Peggy (the late Steve) Tameling, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Harry will also be missed by his ever faithful companion, "Louie." Visitation Tuesday, June 1st, at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago, from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, June 2, prayers at funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to St. Catherine Laboure Church, 3535 Thornwood, Glenview, where Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery, DesPlaines.
