Harriet Ancel Obituary

Later in life she took up needle point and designed and produced original wall hangings. Aunt Harriet was class act and a true role model. As Judy reminded me, her complete acceptance of each of us for who we are was part of the miracle of knowing her and being loved by her - what a great gift she was to us all.

Although we, the four Ancel sisters, had not seen Harriet for some time, we all remember her and Lou for being wonderful, generous and caring people.

Dear Ric, Esther and Family--

So sorry to hear the news. Your mother was always so warm and friendly and, we know, brilliant and accomplished in many ways. We hope you're all comforted by good memories and the fact that she is not suffering any longer.

Love,

Linda an Eli

We want to express our deepest sympathy to the family of such a lovely lady. I was interested to learn that Harriet had attended Northwestern, which I did also. We wish we had known her better.

I knew Harriet and Lou from when I worked for his firm in 1970. I spoke at Lou's memorial service, at Harriet's request. She remained in touch.

I am saddened to hear of the death of such a lovely, wonderful lady. She was a tower of strength for her Lou and for their family. We who were privileged to know her will always remember her with appreciation and affection
