Rodey, Harold C. of Countryside, US Navy Veteran, Korean War, beloved husband of Patricia (nee Christopher), loving father of Karl (Nancy), Steven (Jennifer), Cynthia Cozen and Martin (Lois) Rodey, devoted grandfather of James, Steven, Emily, Andrew, Michalla, Hannah, Keisha and Charles, and great-grandfather of Steven, dear brother of Fred and Theodore Rodey and the late Pauline Begitsche. Visitation 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Visitation will continue 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service, 10:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 6455 Joliet Rd., Countryside. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church, or the American Heart Association appreciated. Funeral info 708-352-6500.

To the Rodey Family,
I was so sorry to hear your loss, when I arrived back from vacation. I work with Cindy, I do not know you personally but Cindy speaks highly of all of you, and I feel as if I know you. I will be praying comfort for the family because it is a great loss. But I know he has been sick for a while and God has allowed him to be here for 2 more years, and that is a great blessing. Hold on to your Memories and he will always live in your hearts.
