My deepest sympathy to the Bourret family. I recently worked with Harold at F.A.C. He was a great man, and will be missed dearly. I am truly saddened by the news. I am currently attending college to get my criminal justice degree with the hopes of becoming a Chicago Police Officer and Harold was a huge influence in me going back to school. My father is late C.P.D. and working with Harold was a great experience, his encouragement meant a lot to me. Godspeed.

Met Harold when I went to 002 District brand new as recruit. Harold was my Watch Secretary he was a wonderful guy and I am sure a good familyman. My stay in 002 was only a year but I enjoyed meeting and will always remember Harold.

Dear Uncle Harold,
I will miss your laugh and our movie talks, I remember when you took us to see the movie, 'The Thing.' That was a great memory I often think about. You were my Godfather too, may God bless you and your family. I will miss you.

My condolences to the Bourret family. I first met Harold at the 002nd District; he worked inside and I was a brand new recruit...he sold his reefer (jacket) to me for inspection and we joked about how the jacket was probably older than I! I used that jacket during my 25 years of service until I retired in 2005! He will be missed.

I remember when Uncle Harold used to put his arms out and my brother and I would just hang there like he was a big tree. We will miss him.
