Lifelong Chicagoan South Shore H.S. & Columbia College graduate.
Co proprietor of renowned Lincoln Park tavern Sterch's. Harlan was known for his boundless love and knowledge of baseball, rivaled only by his passion for music.
Born to William and Freida, pesky brother to Natalie, all including Harlan, are lovingly remembered by his sons Jason, Wolfe and Cameron, along with his grandson, Robin Ozzie.

Harlan was great neighbor, always friendly, willing to help out whenever he was asked. It was a pleasure to know him these past 18 years we've been neighbors. A mensch to the nth! His memoirs and comments on the world we inhabit were a joy to read, a window to his intellect, his passions, and love for his family. I will miss him.
