Gustav Ivkovic Obituary

Ivkovic, Gustav Robert 88, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Niles, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 21, 2018 in the comfort of his beloved home. Born in Zemun, Yugoslavia March 7, 1930. Gustav was a wonderful husband, dad, son, and an amazing man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life and he theirs. He made all our lives better. Gustav was a man who embodied the American dream. A man who came to this country with a wife and small daughter, and worked hard to build a life for himself and his family, helping and befriending many along the way. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Eva. Loving father of Elvira Papas, Robert (Loralee) Ivkovic, and Daniela (Eric) Showley. Grandfather of Ava, Michael, Daniel (Carolina), Eric, Jr., Stephen, Joseph, Gustav, and Conrad. Great-grandfather of Damon, Devin, Analee, Mauricio and Alexandra. A memorial mass will be held in the spring with entombment at Saint Joseph Mausoleum in Chicago, IL.
