Kay, Gus C. "Katsikas" age 80, WWII Navy Veteran and survivor of the USS Indianapolis. Beloved husband of Beatrice (nee Kakaletris), devoted and cherished father of Elizabeth (Martin) Murray and Diana (George) Anton, fond grandfather of Alexandra, Nickolas, Connor, Madelaine and Gus, dearest brother of Chris (Bess) and the late John (Bess) and the late Peter (Virginia) Katsikas, dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Gus has been a resident of Elmwood Park for over 35 years and was a Cook County Deputy Sheriff until he retired. Funeral Wednesday, 9:30 a.m., from Salerno's Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1017 N. LaSalle, Chicago, for funeral service 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, from 3 to 9 p.m. Arrangement by Hellenic Funeral Service (Nicholas M. Pishos Funeral Director) 773-745-1333.
