Guadalupe "Lupe" Rivas, age 88. Late of South Deering, formerly of South Chicago, IL. Passed away on June 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Loving sister of Eleuteria "Teyo" Rivas, Carmen "Mel" (Maria "Faye") Torres, late Angel G. (late Rebecca) Torres, late Jesse G. (late Alberta) Torres, late Santos T. (late Manuel) Garcia, late Alicia Rivas, late Carlota R. (late Julio) Perez, late Conception R. (Rudy) Pena, and late Antonio (Sara) Rivas. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews, and cousin to many. Preceded in death by her parents Cristino and Aurora Rivas (nee Gomez). Lupe had a passion for reading, old movies, and photography. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and was very active in many church organizations. Visitation Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S.
