Gregory O'Rourke Obituary

Mr. O'Rourke was a great teacher and I still carry with me today what he taught me 40 years ago.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He gave me a chance and hired me as the 8th grade science teacher when no one else would give a newbie out of college a chance. Great Mentor!

I was lucky enough to have Mr. O'Rourke as my Principal for my whole childhood - K-8. I've talked about him many times over the past several years when my own husband became a school administrator, also. Mr. O'Rourke was fair, kind, and intelligent. An amazing man. We thank him for all of the hard work and years he dedicated to Wentworth and are happy we knew him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences. Mr O'Rourke was a GREAT teacher. I loved that he showed he cared about us as a person. I really enjoyed seeing and talking with him at our TFN 77 Family and Friends Reunion last year and he will be missed by all of his students and myself. The memory of him will last in my heart forever.

the way I discovered what coffee breath was, was from him. lol. I mean that in a good way. he would always lean into me real close and tell me how I should carry myself when I was angry. I was also in the room when a gang member gave him crap about his weight, but that was when he brought programs to our school to show us what was going on in the outside world of our quaint suburb at that time. The man over saw a great change not only in our school, but the neighborhood overall. One thing I can definitely say is that he made a difference in MY life if no one else's. RIP Mr O'Rourke.

Mr. O'Rourke was the best man! My children and I loved him. We're sad that he left us, but we know we'll see him again in Heaven.
