This is a sad hour for the Brownsville community, for Brooklyn, indeed New York City. A great man, a true advocate for children, life has come to an end. Greg Jackson represented the best of New York, and as director of the Brownsville Recreation Center, he was ‘rich' because he invested in community children. My prayers and condolences go out to his family.

I have said, time and time again that in life, the best was yet to come. We comfort ourselves in the knowledge that this is true for Greg, too. His work is done, and now God's continued love awaits him. May God bless Greg ‘Jocko' Jackson.
