Grace Donnellan Obituary

To the entire Donnellan family and in particular to Paula, Corrine and Kilby, Kathleen and Grace, Marjorie Martinez and Gerry Nora
I am so sorry for your loss. I only found out this weekend while I was out of town or I would have stopped by in person. I knew your parents as friends of my parents over the years and always admired your mother, grandmother and/or aunt as a lovely and gracious lady who always appeared so small and delicate next to your Dad.

Dear Donnellan family,
Just today I read of your mother's/grandmother's death and felt real sorrow. I considered her so elegant and stylish and cultured, always impeccably groomed. And one specific piece of advice she gave back when I was in eight grade: she noted to Ed (who passed her words along)that I was an attractive girl but had terrible posture. Ever since, when I've struggled to stand straight, I've given a silent thought to Mrs. Donnellan who most graciously pointed out that flaw!

We children of Tony and Mary Murray were blessed our entire lives to have the Martinezs, Donnellans, and Noras so close to us. I especially loved "Aunt" Marjorie, and through her heard about Grace's many talents and accomplishments. Marjorie adored her sister more than any woman on earth!

I am forever grateful for Grace and Marjories' examples of love, faith, and strength. How perfect that the amazing touch of both Graces left me with a beautiful memory of my own darling sister Ellen on her final journey. As always, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Growing up across the street from the Noras,I have known Grace since childhood. Our families have kept in touch over the years. I have always known Grace as a lovely and vivacious woman. Her going home touches so many. My heartfelt sympathy to all of Grace's family and friends.
