Gordon Walter Obituary

My sincere condolences to Walter family. I worked with Gordon for the first ten years of my professional career in Hinsdale and learnt tremendously from him. I will always remember him for his technical competency, leadership skills, and integrity. He was a great mentor as well as an exemplary human being.

Anne and I want to express our deepest sympathies in this difficult time to Arlene, Mark and Kim. I worked with Gordon for many years at International Harvester, Case, and CNH. He was an outstanding Metallurgical Engineer, Manager, colleague and mentor. Gordon published a number of technical papers and gave many talks about his research over the years. As a Manager in Materials Engineering, Gordon earned a reputation for being a technical expert who could always be relied upon to provide key expertise and direction to many groups within the company. He fully supported those who worked for him and helped us achieve our personal best. As a colleague, Gordon was a good listener with a great sense of humor and you could always talk to him about a personal issue or problem. We will miss him greatly.

I worked with Gordon for many years. He was a good person and was highly respected. Rest In Peace.

I will miss Gordon. He was the greatest!! Always kind and always willing to advise me about the things at work. He was a highlight for me in my career, so very knowledgeable and patient. God bless him.
