Gladys McGrain Obituary
Age 89, of Elmira, NY, died on her birthday Monday, April 13, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Gladys was born in Casson Brook, PA, on April 13, 1920, a daughter of Charles and Melvina Christian. She is survived by two sons, Maurice McGrain of El Centro, CA, Richard McGrain of Milpitas, CA, and daughter Margaret Pond (McGrain) of Elmira; sister Camilla Caravetta Leszyk of Horseheads; and brother Frederick Caravetta of Richmond VA. Gladys always loved quiet solitude and reading was her favorite hobby. Funeral arrangements will be made at the convenience of the family and by McInerny Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
