Beloved husband of Carmen (nee Echeverria) for 49 years; loving father of Nick (Debra) Diaz, Lorraine (Albert Khoury) Diaz, Gerardo "Jerry" Diaz III and Nancy (Israel Viurquiz) Diaz; devoted grandfather of Amanda, Nicholas, Anthony, Jonathan, Andres Jr., Melissa, Brianna, Angelina, Albert Jr., Gerardo IV, Italia, Carmen and Israel Jr.; cherished great-grandfather of Carmine and Celeste; dear brother of Molly, Mary, Loli, Tony, Lulu, Rosie, late Martha, late Margie, late Ventura, late Fujo, late Albert and late twin Genaro "Skinny"; uncle of many. Retired Machinist with Tibor Machine Products, a Den Father, baseball coach and a lifelong Cubs fan. Hobbies included spending time with his family and cruising. Visitation Sunday 1:00-8:00p.m. Funeral Monday, January 18, 2016, 9:15a.m. prayers from Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to St. Kevin Church.
