Mr. O'Keefe was a man's man, with a generous spirit and wonderful sense of humor. He set a consistent tone for the entire family of respect toward others and of reaching out to share in this life. He is missed, but his legacy is timeless. Love and prayers to the entire family and extended family.

Gerry was a very good man - I worked with him in the sporting goods industry and found him open, honest and kind.
He will be missed by more people than you know!

My Brother in law:
Fondly referred too as "Squire"- I prefer to think of you closing out a sub par round at St. Andrews on a not so windy day....

Gerry was my mentor, my "brother", my friend of over forty years. He will be missed by me and my wife and certainly by his remarkable wife, Joan, and his children and grandchildren. My only solace is that he is at peace. Godspeed, Gerry.

Gerry O'Keefe, my friend and colleague for a half century, was one of the finest men I have ever known.
In any given circumstance you could always count on Gerry to keep his eye on the ball, to be bright, skillful, effective, loyal and...above all...honorable. Gerry was fun loving as well, but never at another's expense. Contrary to the tired old cliche, anyone who knew Gerry O'Keefe knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that "Nice guys can finish FIRST!."
Some of the best days of my professional career were the days when I was privileged to work closely with Gerry toward goals we shared at Brunswick Corporation. That said, our friendship went well beyond the end of the business day.
I happily reacall a number of delightful hours in social settings that my late wife Joline, and I spent with Gerry and Joan. And for the past 20 years, Gerry and Joan have been equally good friends with my second wife, Penny, and me. And I will always remember that 10 years ago, when I was hospitalized for several weeks for surgery, Gerry was the steadfast friend who called me every day to check on my condition.
The world is poorer for the loss of this fine man. And those of us who have been privileged to know him are the richer for his friendship.

In my devotional today I read Proverbs 24:3 " It takes wisdom to have a good family, and it takes understanding to make it strong." I will always remember you, Gerry, for the inspiration you gave me and others at the LFFC. Your devotion and strength to your family and friends will always be remembered. I am grateful that I was able to share a brief time in your life and thankful I was able to meet your wonderful family that you adored.
