Geraldine Lomiski Obituary

Lomiski, Geraldine "Gerry" (nee Cisewski), loving mother of Barbara Liberman and Carol (Dave) Warkel; cherished grandmother of Nathan (Julie) Warkel, Kymm (John) Chavers, and Jacob (Mary) Warkel; and jungle-gym to adored great-grandchildren Katie, Payton, Zane, Breanne, and Ryne, passed peacefully on Sunday, March 2nd 2008. As per her wishes, Gerry's body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Assoc. of IL. In celebration of her life, the bells will ring at an Open House held on Saturday, March 8th, from 1 to 6 p.m., at her daughter Carol's house in Hanover Park. Born on February 9th, 1923, to Bud and Esther Cisewski; Gerry grew up in God's Country where the Mountain with Its Feet in the Water watched the Mississippi and the Railroad (Trempealeau, WI). She moved to Chicago during WWII to work and build a family. From her earlier years, right down to her final days, there was one thing that anyone who knew her always said. Gerry was a person of great joy with an electric smile who always brought a sense of happiness to those around her. Gerry was preceded by Charlotte Brooks, Ottie, and Don Cisewski, and will be sorely missed by all.
