Gerald A. "Jerry" Zurek. Age 83. Late of Burnham, IL. Passed away on March 5, 2024. Beloved husband of late Betty (nee Hojnacki). Loving father of Mike (Colleen), Pete (Kitty), Dan (Liz), and Brian (Sarah) Zurek. Devoted grandfather of Don (Alyssa), Matthew, Isa, Katie, Emma, Ainsley, and B. Cherished great-grandfather of Zoey. Dearest brother of George (Dolly) Zurek, and SR. Dolores Zurek R.S.M. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Republic LTV Steel. Lifelong supporter of Mt. Carmel High School. Visitation Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL. Funeral Services Monday, March 11, 2024 Directly at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 8404 S. Cass Ave. Darien, IL. where a visitation will take place from 11:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
