It is with great sadness that all of us who are Jerry's Cousins learned of his death. He was a handsome, warm and loving man and a wonderful Son and Father. He was always kind and concerned about his family and gracious to all who knew him. He was a true gentleman. I and all the members of the Lavin and Pacella family are very sorry for your loss. The best baseball coach. The Bears and the Tigers had a great run under "Mr. Z". Many great memories shared in both our backyards and pool. Haven't seen him as much as I used to in the past few years, but could always look over our fence and count on a wave from Mr. Z. Will truly be missed!

I had just met your father, I thought what a nice man the chemistry between him and your mother was awesome. I remember the stories you told me about your relationship with him I was amazed and I know he will be well missed but his memory will be with you forever

My sincerest condolences on your loss. I always knew him as Mr. Zimmerman, my neighbor and my little league coach. He taught me about baseball and he never sugar coated it. He made me a better player and taught me about sportsmanship.
