Gerald Robert Oberman, 76 passed away peacefully on March 15, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Irene; dear brother of Sheldon (Lydia) Oberman; loving uncle of Stefanie (Dr. David) Kushner and Scott (Holly) Oberman; devoted son of the late Sadie and Nathan Oberman. Gerry will be greatly missed by his many cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Chapel service Friday, March 18, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park. I'm very sorry to hear about Jerry and Vince. I was friends with both of them at Doc and we will surely miss them. I've contacted other moviegoers to let them know. I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy to all of Gerrys family and friends and to all who were present during the course of his illness.
I deeply miss my friend of many years and still pick up the phone to call him, then realize that I will never hear his voice again.
I know that he is in heaven with his wife and family members as well as his friend Vince who passed from this world only a few months ago.
Knowing Gerry, I know that he would want us all to remember his accomplishments in life and to celebrate his life.
I am still in disbelief that he is no longer with us, but I believe he is looking down from heaven watching over all of use.
I will always miss and love you, Gerry.
