I knew Gerald when he was at the Univ. of Illinois. My husband and he were close friends and fellow students. I have many wonderful memories of him and Yvonne. We were at the wedding. (My husband was in the wedding party.)

My heartfelt condolence to Anna-Ruth, Gwendolyn-Marie & the extended family of Gerald Carlos Hines - my fraternal/adopted brother of years past.
Gerald & Yvonne were just absolutely wonderful to me and indeed many later Foreign-Exchange students, who were warmly welcomed into their home.
I will always celebrate Gerald as a wise and inspiring mentor, ever striving "to bring balance to perfection" in his own inimitable and graceful manner.
May God truly bless his immortal soul and welcome him to be at peace with Yvonne and their extended family of love.

My sincere condolences to the family of Gerald Hines. The Hines family welcomed me to Champaign, Illinois when I lived there during the 1960s. Gerald and Yvonne were my personal friends. May all who knew them remember: "To live in the hearts left behind, is not to die."

My condolences to the family. Mr. Hines was instrumental in encouraging my career as a banker during the years he and Mrs. Hines resided in the Jackson-Highlands community. I will always remember Mr. Hines as a person who loved his family tremendously. Hold on to the beautiful memories I know you have. May God be with you.
