Gerald Cohen Obituary

Dr Gerald Cohen was a fantastic allergy specialist at st Francis hospital Evanston Illinois.
He helped my daughter with allergy shots.
He saved my daughter.

Dear Mrs. Cohen and Family,

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved husband and father. Dr. Cohen will be missed greatly. I was a patient of his along with both of my sons since 1979. Dr. Cohen always took time for each person and cared deeply on an individual basis. What a special doctor and person, he always had a smile on his face and always asked how we were doing. I moved away 7 years ago but still called him when Dr. Morad Jacobson was out of town when we were ill. He always asked how my family was. Again I am so sorry for your loss. My tears and heartfelt sympathies are with you all. I will always cherish my memories of Dr. Cohen and have them in my heart, his smile and geniune care were a blessing as was he. My prayers are with you all.

To the Cohen Family - My deepest sympathy. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for over 30 years. I was fresh out of high school when I first saw him in his office on Devon. My kids are patients of his too. He was a dear man, very friendly, always had a "Hi" for everyone. I moved out of state to Michigan a few years back, but would always come back in to see him when I needed my shots - didn't want any other allergist! Now live in Wisconsin, but still kept Dr. Cohen as my allergist. I will miss seeing him. He was very good to me, making sure I was doing all right, especially through some very rough times. He will be in my prayers, as will his family. God bless,

The passing of Dr. Cohen has filled me with such grief. Not only was he my boss, but my mentor as well. He has given so much inspiration and I thank him for the chance to work with him all these years. My sympathy and prayers go out to all his family and friends. Dr. Cohen will truly be missed.

To the Family of Dr. Gerald Cohen: My husband and I want to express our deepest condolances to your family. My husband and I (and our son) had been patients of his for 15+ years. He was a wonderful doctor and helped all of us immensely. Not only was he a very competent doctor, but he really cared about his patients. He was also very kind and always took time out of his busy day to give his patients his full attention and a friendly visit. Both my husband and I graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and he loved to talk to us about their football and basketball teams. Dr. Cohen loved basketball as much as my husband does, and Dan always looked forward to his appointments.
