Age 70, Korean War Army Veteran, beloved husband of Elizabeth; loving father of George (Barbara) Wetzel Jr., Julie (Ron) Christianson, Debra (Wayne Piper) Blaney, Michael (Cindy) Wetzel and David (Candie) Wetzel; Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Steven, Jennifer, Matthew, Natalie, Rachel, Michael Jr., Christopher, Tyler, Nicole, Jessica, Amanda, Joshua, Samantha, Emily and George; proud great-grandfather of Alex; devoted brother of Arthur Wetzel. Visitation Sunday 3 to 9 PM. Service Monday 11:00 AM at Lawn Funeral Home 7909 State Road (5500 W) Burbank, IL 60459. Interment private. Member of Carpenter's Union Local #74. "Miss" Betty and Family,
George was a great man/ a great father / a great husband,but most of all a great friend. I have been blessed to get to know George over the years. He will be watching over all of you . He is truely going to be missed. Im sure gonna miss his laugh, smile and our crazy conversations!!
