George will certainly be missed by members of the 31st Bomb Sq. Association. He served with distinction on the crew of the "Cisco Kid" and visited me several times in the 20th Station Hospital on Guadalcanal after I was severly wounded on August 26, 1943.
We enjoyed talking with him at many of our reunions.

Hey Guys,
Uncle George will be missed. I don't remember him without a smile or a joke. He was a great uncle and a good dancer. When I think of him I can't help but smile.
Love you guys,
Ed and Jackie

George was a beloved and honored member of our 31st Bombardment Squadron (H) of World War II. He served with courage and valour as a B-24 gunner in the fight for the Solomon Islands, some of the toughest aerial missions of the entire Pacific War. We shall miss him greatly.
