George Rubinstein Obituary

Rubinstein, George A. beloved husband of the late Star (nee Spratt), loving father of Gregg Rubinstein (Andrea Blackburn), dear brother of Olga (the late Paul) Davidson, adored uncle of Steven (Nancy) Davidson and great-uncle of P.J. Davidson. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m., at The Piser Chapel, 5206 N. Broadway, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Lincoln Park Zoo, c/o Sarah Tilman, 2001 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL, 60614. I was so saddened to hear of George's passing. I had the privilege of working with him at the Children's Zoo and he never failed to demonstrate his love and care for animals. I know every time I see a rabbit, I will think of George. My deepest sympathy to all of his family and friends.

I offer my sincerest condolences to the Rubinstein family. Working beside George at the Lincoln Park Children's Zoo was a privilege. George was a warm and caring person with a lovely sense of humor. I will miss him.

My sincerest condolences to George's family. As a former Docent Coordinator at the Children's Zoo, I learned what a very special man George was. He was a wonderful humanitarian, a dedicated docent and a valued friend.
