Ranney Sr., George A. 90, a longtime of resident of Libertyville, died June 30, 2002, husband of the late Nora Ryerson Ranney, father of George A. (Victoria) Ranney of Grayslake, Edward R. (Melanie) Ranney of Santa Fe, NM, David M. (Jean) Ranney of Urbandale, IA and Nancy R. (David) Levi of Fair Oaks, CA, grandfather of ten, great-grandfather of one. Treasured friend of Betsy Getz. Memorial service 11 a.m., Saturday, July 6, at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster, Lake Forest. Interment will be private. You, and the entire Greater Chicago community, have lost a great and beloved family member. Your father was a brilliant businessman and a dedicated citizen and community leader.
