George Pluta Obituary

Pluta, George J. Age 84, of Mt. Greenwood, IL passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Melbourne, Florida. George is survived by four children: George (Colleen) Pluta of Mokena, IL, Raymond (Sharon) Pluta of Crete, IL; Gary (Denise) Pluta of Crete, IL, and Linda (Mark) Martorano of Melbourne, FL. Cherished grandfather to Tina, Kristen, Jason, Anthony, Chad, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Holly and Kelly; and great-grandfather of four. He was welcomed into Heaven by his wife, Elsie (nee Jendreg); and his brother, John Pluta. George was retired from American National Can Company. He also proudly served his country through his military service in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christina's Church, 111th Street & Christiana Avenue, Chicago. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.

Dear George, Ray, Gary, Linda & all Grandchildren,
We were deeply saddened to hear that George passed away. He was the kindest man and always worked hard to keep "Wild" Bill out of trouble! May it bring all of you comfort to know that he was highly regarded by so many and will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during these difficult times.
