George Malik Obituary
Malik, George F. Retired Chief, C.F.D. Passed away November 23rd after a brave fight against brain cancer. Loving husband of 42 years to Claudette (nee Malinowski), beloved father and father-in-law of Claudine (Richard Earnst) and Juliana (John Salerno), devoted grandfather of Giana Salerno, cherished son of the late George (C.F.D.) and Julia Malik (nee Alis), special son-in-law of the late John and Emily Malinowski, dear brother of Judy (Norbert) Lasky, close family of Joseph and Jeanette Lasky, wonderful uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews and caring friend to countless people. George's 34 year career with the Fire Department was marked by his integrity, his professionalism and his dedication to serving the people of Chicago. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday, 10:30 a.m., from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 4950 West 79th St., Burbank, to St. Denis Church, Mass 11:15 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
