Loescher, George M.

George M. Loescher, of Chicago IL, born July 24, 1924, passed peacefully on December 9, 2020. George was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice T. Loescher (nee Cunningham); parents George and Ruth (nee Files); and sister, Shirley Pogge. George is survived by his children, Maureen Shattow; Gregg (Carole) Loescher; Ruthann Coopmans; Joseph (Laurie) Loescher; Mark (Marcia) Loescher; and Mary (Mike) Nolan; 20 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. George served in Aviation Repair and Overhaul Unit No 1 with the US Navy in the Admiralty Islands during World War II. He was machinist for Trans World Airlines, based out of Ohare Airport for 26 years. As a loving father, he will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be scheduled at a future, post-pandemic date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Misericordia Home, 6300 N. Ridge Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660 or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
