Kallas, George James of Lansing, IL, passed away May, 28, 2006, was born at home in Chicago on November 19, 1926, beloved husband of the late Grace (nee Corrado), loving father of James (Rosemary), Joseph (Joan), JoAnna (James) and Jerald (Pamela), devoted grandfather of Kate, Alex, Julie, Tony, Jim, Chris, Nick, Sophie and George, fond brother of Mary (Chris) Dragatsis. Funeral services Thursday, June 1, 2006, 11:30 a.m., at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 12307 S. Ridgeland Ave., Palos Heights, IL, officiated by Rev. Tim Alikakos, visitation Wednesday, May 31, from 4 to 9 p.m., at the Rosemoor Funeral Home, 17943 S. Torrence Ave., Lansing, IL. Mr. Kallas was many year resident of Roseland, attended Fenger High School before serving in the Army-Air Corp during WWII. Served as the Chief Real Estate Appraiser, Chicago Branch, for the federal department of Housing & Urban Development until his retirement in 1989. Former owner of the Parasol Lounge at 107th & Michigan Ave. Interment Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Kidney Foundation, would be appreciated. 708-474-2404
