To The Jurich Family, We were shocked to hear of George's passing. Our hearts and prayers go out to the entire family. What I knew of George was a pleasant one. I'd see him in the alley when walking our dogs and he always gave the dogs a dog treat. My one dog would go crazy when he seen George at the garage or driving in or out, my dog would hurry to the garage to see if he had a treat for him. He loved animals (especially the dogs). My dogs loved George. He was always so cheerful and friendly. He was a pleasant person to talk to. He was always particular about keeping his car spic and span too. Always caring for it, keeping it clean in and out and the engine too. Everytime I pass his garage I think of George. He was a good person and he will be missed by many. God Bless the family and George too. We will be making a donation to PAWS in his memory.

As a fairly new Sgt. in the late 80's, I worked with George in Loop Traffic. He was a hell of a Boss and can be described best by two words, "Class Act". My condolences to the family.

While working in the CPD Traffic Division Administration unit during the 1980s, part of my responsibilities was the planning of presidential motorcades and those of other dignitaries. We always assigned Sgt. Jurich to the lead car based upon his knowledge, demeanor, and overall professionalism. He was a model policeman and true gentleman. My deepest condolences to the Jurich family.
