Age 85, Loving husband of the late Josephine (nee Jackson) Eberhardt; devoted father of Barbara (John) Allen, Janet (Jay) Johnson, Joseph (Linda) Eberhardt, Eugene (Maureen) Eberhardt, Tina (John) Lankford, and David (Samantha) Eberhardt; proud grandfather of Rachel, Bridget and Shannon Allen, Brian (Jamie) and Andrew Hickey, Catherine (Matt) Siniawski, Camille (John) Labriola, Emily and Joey Eberhardt, Elizabeth, Margaret and Charlotte Eberhardt, Gregory and Carlee Lankford, Arbor and Penelope Eberhardt; doting great-grandfather of Ben and Lily Siniawski and Melina Labriola; cherished son of George M. (Marie) Eberhardt and the late Tina Mae Holgate; dear brother of the late Norma Eberhardt; fond brother-in-law of Isabel (late Thomas) Duggan, James (late Lorraine) Jackson, Sabina (late John) Collinsworth; beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. George was a US Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. Long-time Midlothian Village Trustee and Volunteer Firefighter. Member of St. Christopher Holy Name Society, Brother William Kerkel Knights of Columbus, Dolton Izaak Walton League and Midlothian V.F.W. Post 2580. Former owner of Eberco Heating & Air Conditioning. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Christopher Parish or the Catholic Charities. Funeral Saturday 9:00 AM from the Hickey Memorial Chapel 4201 W. 147th St. Midlothian to St. Christopher Church for Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
