Although I cannot be there with my family to celebrate the life of my grandfather, I am fortunate to have many memories that I will hold dear for life. He was the best grandfather, who despite having so many grandchildren, still made each one of us feel special. He will be missed dearly, even from all the way across the Atlantic and Mediterranean.

Sue Caraher alerted me to the obituary in the Tribune. I hope to find a way out there Sunday but in case I don't I wanted to let you know I am thinking about your family. I know your dad had a long history with my parents, and they always spoke of him with great fondness. I remember meeting him only once, but he managed to direct my life in a geographical sense. He told me of The Warehouse in Lincoln Park and suggested it would be an interesting building in which to live. I ended up sub-letting, buying and keeping for 14 years. He was persuasive! I know you have many fond memories to treasure. With Sincere Sympathy, Geraldine Conrad
