To the Janson family,

It is with great sadness that I learned about Gene's passing. I met him at your house while Maureen and I shared stage time during shows at Marillac and Loyola. His smile was infectious, his spirit everlasting. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Janson Family,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I too remember him to be a happy, smiling guy, from my days at St. Mary of the Woods through the Marillac Days and Valley Lo. Please know that my thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Janson Family --

I am so very sorry to hear abour your loss. I enjoyed many a gathering at the Janson house during high school and after college when Chris was my stand-in date for many an occasion. Your dad was always a warm, welcoming, and fun presence. Raising two boys, I often think about how I want their relationship with their dad to be like Chris had with his dad.

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Janson Family --

So sorry to hear of Gene's passing. While it's been nearly 30 years since I've seen him I still remember his warm and kind manners that distinguished him as a true gentleman (and of course as a "good old boy"--still a favorite movie). He will be missed by all who were touched by knowing him. Our prayers go out to your family at this time of loss.

Dear Jansons,
It was an honor to have known Gene, both in the family setting and seeing him perform.
I am so sorry for your loss. You've all been on my mind a lot since Maureen told me, and I've been remembering Gene here in Madison at Maureen and Claude's wedding, and in Ann Arbor at Maureen's graduation.
I wish you well, and send you my best regards,
Alex

Dear Peg, Maureen, Colleen,and Chris:
My deepest sympathy on losing your husband and father. He was such a kind "gentle" man. He died on the stage-doing what he loved to do. May your memories keep your family going through this difficult time.
With love and prayers,
Lynn and Angelo DiPaolo

The Gene I will remember is a man who was always happy. He had a wonderful laugh, and was a good listener. He spoke highly of his children and showed pics of the new "baby" as if it was the first baby he's ever seen. He played one of the Good O' Boys from the movie The Blues Brothers, and he really was a Good O' Boy! He's the best Gene I know! Peace.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Genes passing. He was a wonderful talent and a great friend. Enjoyed working with him at WTTW for many years.
He will be missed. God Bless his soul.

Dear Peg & Family, So terribly sorry for your loss. Gene was a sweet Teddy Bear of a man - a warm friend & terrific colleague. I loved working with him (we we're in "cahoots" for a recent 1st Financial Industrial & filmed together numerous times over the years.) Got to know Gene & liked him better each time we met. Really glad we worked so well with each other on the "Ear" technique in dialogue situations. He was a complete Pro -"nobody does it better" was the truth. He always had a warm twinkle in his eye, and was funny & competitive in the Best way. I truly enjoyed our visits & we hugged each other affectionately the last time I saw him 3 weeks ago at an audition - we loved to tease one another about our different approaches, though we really respected and admired one another. And how he loved his Family - he was so proud of you folks. I will miss Gene very much and I'll remember him most fondly! My deepest condolences to you all. Warmest regards, Rick Plastina & Family

I was so sad to hear of Mr. Janson's passing. I have such fond memories of him producing the Marillac Benefits. He made each of us, talented or not feel we played an important part. He was truly a special man who made a great impact on so many young women at LDM. He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in each of us who were fortunate to cross his path.

In Gene's passing we have lost our neighbor, a friend and our Santa Claus.

Gene played each of these roles without peer.

He shall remain in our prayers and our hearts until we all stand together for that final curtain call.

Bravo Gene, Bravo!
