Gene Hart Obituary

Hart, Gene "Buddy" David age 53, born January 28, 1950, in Streator, IL, to Emmanuel "Bud" David Hart and Dorothy Laverne (nee Niehaus) Hart, formerly of Beach Park, IL, died Friday, September 26, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Survived by wife, Pamela Hart (nee Rosengarden) of Streator, IL (married October 1, 1977); daughter, Megan Elizabeth Hart of Beach Park, IL; son, Timothy David Hart of Beach Park, IL; sisters, Nancy (David) Leonard of Manville, IL, Karen (Michael) Luckey of Wenona, IL, Jeanette (Francis) Tallent of Manville, IL and Marsha (Donald) Watson of Streator, IL. Preceded in death by parents; father-in-law, Fred S. Rosengarden and mother-in-law, Dorothy Eleanor (Sieferman) Rosengarden. He was raised in Streator, graduated from Woodland High School, in 1968, then graduated with a bachelors degree in Electronics from Devry Institute of Technology, in 1972. He taught electronics to the Air Force in Saudi Arabia and Jeddah and was an electronics instructor at Devry Institute of Technology in Chicagp. He had lived in Chicago, Wheeling, IL, Saudi Arabia and last lived in Beach Park, IL, prior to moving back to Streator, in August of 2002, where he taught industrial arts and automotive at Streator Township High School. He also had special training in New York in Soldering. He was also a substitute teacher at Zion-Benton High School, in Zion, IL and had taught at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center for two years. Visitation Thursday, October 2, 2003, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service at Solon, Baker & Telford Funeral Home, Streator, IL. Interment Phillips Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the American Heart Fund, American Diabetes Association or any Muscle Disorder Society. For Info: 815-672-2320.

A voice from the past. I am truly hearbroken to read of the passing of Buddy. I fondly remember Buddy and his great support to our preschool. I still have the many videos he did for me when the children graduated. Those days when you Pam was the StoryLand Express lady are treasured days.
