Harold and family,
My sincere condolences to you all. I was not able to make Gemma's birthday bash but had a great conversation with her. Be assured you are in my prayers and thoughts. Peace in the Risen Christ.

Dear Dr. Welsch,
I am very sorry to hear of your wife's death and have been praying for you.
I am another graduate of DePaul, from the '80s, and I appreciate everything I learned from classes with both of you, and used that knowledge in my work with computer systems. My health has not allowed me to continue working, but I continue to volunteer etc. with computers to keep up to date.
With sincere sympathy and prayers,
Mike Dorociak

Dr Welsch,
I was very saddened to read of your wife's passing. As one of her students at DePaul who took two of her classes many years ago, I related well to her teaching style and appreciated the time she took to advise me on other accounting related careers and MIS when they were just starting to become common in schools and the workplace. She had much passion for the areas in which she taught. My prayers are with you and your family.

Dr. Welsch,
I am one of a million DePaul students who was touched by your wife, many years ago now. There were so few women in accounting then; she was our role model. I especially remember her easy laugh. I am saddened to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dearest Gemma,
I am truly saddened that you have left us so soon. Our family is less whole now. You were such a strong person and you fought your illness so valiantly and with such determination. I really thought you would win. So even though it's been a journey, I am still in shock. You will always be missed, from the upcoming graduations, to Diana's and Adrienne's weddings, to all the family gatherings to every aspect of our lives, every day of our lives. You had so much knowledge about our side of the family that I never took the time to learn because I always thought I had plenty of time to ask. Our heart goes out to Harold. He was always right there by your side. This will be an even more difficult journey for him. We will do all that we can to help him through this, now and always. You will be sorely missed. We love you. Your loving cousin, Sandy
