Gary was a special friend who always had time to visit on the phone or at home. He is always missed as a close compassionate caring friend. I am so glad to have had his friendship for a number of years. Thanks Gary for the kind friendship you shared with me.

Dear Auntie Gwen, Randy, Bryan and Danny,
What an awesome picture of Uncle Gary with his million dollar smile as my mom puts it. Our heavy hearts are with you all and will continue to be with you all. On the other hand we are so incredibly greatful to know that he is now in the presence of Jesus free from pain and to know that we will all see him again someday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all praying that God will give you comfort, strength and grace to get through each day.

Gwen,We will miss him.
May the tender mercy that God has always shown be with you now so you will know that you are not alone and may the prayers of others, help in some small way to bring you strength, comfort and courage for each day.
Each day is like a jewel, rare, that comes but once, then goes, and what we do of good or ill Our Savior sees and knows. He promised strength for this day. The next we may not see; Then let us treasure each new day, as precious gems for thee.

Dear Gwen and Family, Hearing of Gary's passing is difficult to understand but I know he is in a better place now. I owe Gary much for I believe it was he who introduced my dad and I to the BWCA, conoe building and black powder shooting. I will never forget the anticipation of loading up his little white Toyato truck with packs and canoes, making sure we left just enough room for us boys to pile in for the long ride. And alwys that stop at Toby's for a roll and a comic book to read in the tent on a rain soaked day. My first trip to the BWCA was to Malberg lake because Gary said he wanted to take us to a beautifull campsite up on a cliff that we just had to see. He was right, it was a beautiful place and since then I have learned how unique it is, returning several times. Gary will always be remembered as a great influence in my life

I only knew Grandpa Quick for a period of a year, but he and Grandma Quick made me feel as if I knew them for more. I was always welcomed in their house like any other family member. I can still remember to this day, when I first started dating Tina, the first thing he asked me, as test to see if I was "good enough" for her was " Do you like Ford or Chevy's?" As soon as I said that I had a Lincoln Continental, I was in good!
Grandpa Quick, I never got a chance to let you know this through words, but you were a grandfatherly figure to me as well. My mom's father died before I was born, and I don't even know my dad's father or him really for that matter. You never second guessed to letting me in your house and you always made me feel welcomed. I only wish I had more time to spend with you and get to know you even better. My thoughts and prays are with you as I know you are with us, smiling from heaven. My promise to you is that I will always try to live as a rightheous and good man towards Tina as you were to Grandma Quick. I thank you for the memories I did get to spend with you and I look forward to sharing happiness in heaven with you. Love You and I will miss you dearly.

Dear Gwen and family,
My condolences to you for your loss of Gary. I was stunned when I received word yesterday from my parents. The fun times while canoeing in the BWCA with Gary and Dan years ago are very good memories that I cherish. May God bless your family, and may you have comfort in knowing Gary is now home with Jesus.

Dear Gwen and Family,
I am sincerely sorry for your loss. It is difficult to watch someone so close battle with the pains of cancer. Though we pray for Gods healing hand, sometimes our Loving Father has a better plan. May you feel Gods shielding comfort today and in the weeks ahead. Our Hope and our future is in Jesus if we love the Lord. May you find comfort in the promise that one day you will be reunited.

Dear Gwen and family, we were so saddened to hear of Gary's passing. Although we have only known you two for a few years, we feel a great sorrow. I feel that Gary must have had a very wonderful life, that he never wanted to let go of, because of the way he kept fighting his cancer right to the end.
On the next clear night when you look up in the sky, what you see are "porch lights", welcoming our loved ones home.

Gwen, We are in AZ for the winter, but heard about Gary. We are so very sorry! We know he battled this disease courageously and is now resting in our Savior. Still, it must be difficult to think of life going on without him. We will be praying for your comfort and peace.
