Gary Little Obituary

Gary L. Little, 64, of Louisville, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Sugako "Sue" Little (nee Fushiki); sons, Clay (Christine) of Lindenhurst, IL and Jerry Little of Hackettstown, NJ; daughters, Anne Marie (Norman) Carroll of Daytona Beach, FL and Leslie (Ryan) Singleton of Belleville, IL; and grandchildren, Naomi Little, Katelin Little, Logan Singleton, Alyssa Zerres, Dakota, Austin and Dylan Little; and mother-in-law, Kayoko Fushiki of Japan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Little and Elsie (nee McMahan) Schadegg.

Gary was a retired air transportation supervisor for the United States Air Force and served during the Desert Storm conflict. He earned many awards during his years of service including the AF Commendation Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon, NCO Professional Military Education Grad Ribbon, and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. Gary was also a proud member of the Belleville Masons Lodge #504. Gary worked extensively with the Disabled Veterans Association.

The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the loving care offered to Gary and Sue by the Lincoln Land Hospice Program nurses and volunteers.

Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 10 am-12 pm at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with a service at noon. Memorials are appreciated to either The Disabled Veterans Association or to the volunteer group from Lincoln Land Hospice.
